UTAH // May 3-8

What an adventurous trip we experienced! Skydiving, surviving Angels Landing, and four nights camping near Zion National Park! Definitely one of my favorite trips I've been on and I will miss roasting marshmallows every single night. We started the trip off in Salt Lake City, where we explored the downtown area and got a bite to eat at Squatters Brewery (a favorite lunch spot!) We rented a car the next day and road tripped to Zion! We found our campsite on airbnb and I would definitely recommend this spot if you're looking to camp near the park! We were provided a grill, fire pit, extra pots, pans, silverware, and shower bags! The bell tents can be found on a family-owned ranch with amazing views to wake up to every single morning. We truly enjoyed life without cell service for a few days, and the stars were seriously unbelievable. I've never seen a prettier night sky and we were lucky enough to witness a shooting star.

The next few days consisted of many hikes and daring adventures. A few adventures I wasn't aware of until we got to Utah... my boyfriend surprised me with skydiving. We were both a nervous wreck driving to the skydive center, but we will admit it was the biggest rush of our lives. The moment you jump out of that plane, there is no room for fear and you are running purely on adrenaline. On the plane ride up you are able to see all of Zion and the surrounding mountains in southern Utah. Truly an experience that is difficult to explain and I am so glad I got to experience such a rush! Shoutout to my amazing boyfriend for the crazy surprise.

Throughout the trip people kept telling us that we had to attempt Angels Landing, which is a popular hike in the park, but extremely strenuous and not for the fearful. The following day we ventured out, and let me tell you they weren't wrong. I am not one who is afraid of heights, but when you're hiking on narrow rocks with 1,000ft drops at both sides it gets your heart pumping. It was a steep hike and I had to take many breaks (like seriously should've cooled it on the marshmallows and s'mores every night), but I felt so accomplished when I made it to the top! The views are entirely worth it and spending time up there allows you to reflect and appreciate the beautiful planet we live on. Needless to say, this trip was unforgettable and a wonderful way to start the Summer! Let me know in the comments if you'll be going on adventures this Summer too! I'd love to know where you're going and what crazy new things you'll be trying!
